Michal wants his films to empower women... What made him try?Filmy dla Kobiet poster

A businessman prides himself on being able to move something from one point to another in the fastest and most economical way possible. It doesn't necessarily pay to look pretty doing it. An artist's function is to express a beautiful idea. It doesn't come fast or cheap. Its value lies in its completeness. It takes time and sacrifice. It must be considered. I consider a woman to be a beautiful idea. That's why I keep teaching myself to listen to women, no matter what the cost.Pointer

By getting myself to start listening to women, I want to give others a chance to do the same thing.

I've decided to export fine art handcrafted by women in Poland to America. High quality handcrafted art produced by high quality women deserves to be shared. The more I can sell stateside to people who know the difference, the more I can buy from those whose worthy hands to continue the fight for openness and equality, a fight that I've taken to the world wide web.

Your support ensures that films for women will make a difference.

Michal's Dictionary:
True Love Quotes

Love and hope. I say the words and I still wonder what it means.

I think of all the images, the poems, the quotes, the songs, the stories. The symbols.

I think of my own work, the Fiction Corpus, which I tested and analyzed because I too wanted to know what it was about. Sure enough, the words love and hope were two of the most frequent words I had used.

Clearly love and hope are a potent fuel. They've driven many a work of art. The've helped create many beautiful things. Maybe that's it.

Use of Love in The Gospel of Jesus H.

A picture of the planet Mars

An experimental science fiction Christology that makes Jesus the hard boiled narrator of his own early years on a bizarro earth made dark by volcanic ash and informally ruled by a man from Mars who sells bottled air.

In those days, women wore anything that resembled something from a famous hand-tinted photograph from the nineteenth century. There was a free catalog available on the Internet, listing all the famous collections and the most famous photographs, organizing them by date or location, or photographer, painter, model - every criterion available - but especially by women's dress. The crinoline; the cage crinoline, dome and pyramid, flat in front; the crinolette; and the bustle were all represented in their various forms and colors. Even pornographic photographs were readily available to show off every type of undergarment. Famous women wore bloomers underneath their petticoats: the kind with an open crotch and single button, which made it much easier to have sex fully clothed, a favorite and celebrated pastime for the elites.

Verse 18 from the chapter called Childhood

On Earth, governments were scared. Talks were held, treaties made - some signed, others did not. Everyone agreed: something had to be done about the mushroom cloud, its immediate effect, and further consequences for the world. But what to do? And who to do it? Washington? The U.S. Army? They were busy counting dead. Then, once they were done, they would count the damage. Nothing else would happen for a while. People settled down; they waited for tomorrow. Tomorrow came, then the next day. Nothing was done. Time passed; things got worse and worse.

Verse 81 from the chapter called Childhood

Oh, you are so confused. I love you, child. I carried you in my arms across the deserts of Mars. I love you so very much, but you don't know me! You don't remember me! How can you love me? Listen to your mother, my child. She is dead, but if you listen to her beautiful words - if you pay attention - you will come to know me, child. You will love me. Deep in my heart, I know you will trust me - just like your mother.

Verse 17 from the chapter called Invocation

I loved your father, too. He was a good man. Do not believe your grandfather. He lies, not knowing the truth. Your father was good. I know that. He was good. He didn't kill your mother. He didn't kill Your brother. No matter what they say: he was a good man. Believe me, child. Your father was good.

Verse 4 from the chapter called Invocation

Use of Love in Sex for Children

A drawing of a man between a woman's legs in front of another man in a hospital bed

A literature book narrated by a pair of siblings on either side of the Atlantic whose profoundly weird sexual experiences pose a serious challenge to their traditional understanding of mathematicians, marriage, gay young men and God.

He knew he went crazy, and he hated him for it. But there's no way he wasn't part of that cult; he loved Stalin's methods - he was just a little bashful about it. But that's why Hungary was the highest point of his career: it let him do the things he really enjoyed. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Khrushchev made that secret speech with full awareness of what might happen in the Eastern bloc. He liked the idea of national communism; that's why he liked Tito so much. He was a nationalist himself, not a hard-core imperialist. Unfortunately, the Hungarians brought disaster on themselves, or I guess Nagy was to blame. The problem was: they took their cue from Poland, but then they stopped paying attention. In the summer of fifty-six, a workers' strike was brutally suppressed in Poland. People were agitating. But when Khrushchev showed up in Warsaw, he was placated. His Polish comrades told him exactly what he wanted to hear: don't worry; we've got it all under control; national communism is the way; three cheers for reform. What did Nagy do? He said he was leaving the Warsaw Pact and he appealed to the United Nations. The United Nations! He must have been crazy. Khrushchev probably had a good time executing him.

– Title 2, Regarding the Romaniac, Part 1, Section 27, Penetration, Paragraph 99, Clauses 13-28

Now there is a question: he may have returned because he was wanting, and of all the many attractions he had ever seen, Nike was trying to relocate the one that most appealed, or, on the other hand, he may have returned because he felt compelled, not by the calculus of his own pleasure, but by a deeper need incapable of description, which Nike could otherwise have ignored, but, having chosen to pursue, was finding himself made uncomfortable, perhaps by the very idea that he must be blindly compelled: in this case, not for any obvious reason, such as lust or curiosity, but by a reasonless reason: that is, Nike was aware that he was pursuing not a physical object (not the woman), but rather a status: the state of being near the woman, having the woman close to him. He was aware of this truth because he knew that if he were, in fact, successful at finding the woman, he would not know what to do with her. This terrified him.

– Title 3, Regarding a Dream, Chapter 3, The Third Day, Part 1, Family & Welfare Reform, Section 2, Understanding Physical Desire, Paragraph 4

"You have not been honest," I said, and I proceeded to express my disgust for all that he had done, for all the ways he had let his feelings dictate his action. I said a lot of things, but I did not mention the pettiness he was performing at that very moment - not for his sake, but for my own: as I could not bring myself to mention that name: the name of the person he was now apparently cheating. I told him that I loved him, that I was very sorry, but no matter how much love I had to give, I was not a prize he could ever win: he did not qualify for the competition.

– Title 1, Regarding Peaches and Bananas, Part 2, Section 7, Trying to Kiss, Paragraph 12

When Nike was not around, he was not there to balance things, or to talk about theatre for that matter, which is what he would always do, and which Macy would rarely mention on his own, probably for being sick of it. However that was one of the few topics I felt comfortable enquiring about, and though Macy and I were able, gradually, to wean ourselves away from Nike, we relied at first on our experience in Austria. But because of the nature of that experience, and also my failings as a conversationalist, this made matters a bit more lopsided than I desired.

– Title 1, Regarding Peaches and Bananas, Part 2, Section 5, Falling in Love, Paragraph 2

Bullets whizzing by a statue of Nikola Tesla

A collection of stories featuring a sexy Parisian ghost, a spooky Moon base full of vagina-faced aliens, a policeman with an Irish name, a truck full of watermelons, a flautist, and a man who has to see another man about a diseased horse.

The fire burned brightly. The men operating the bellows had never felt such heat. Many of them collapsed. Beads of sweat formed on Gog's brow. They turned into cataracts. He threw the first rock into the pit. Something marvelous occurred.

The rock formed a bloom. The furnace of Atar had never seen such metal. Copper, lead, silver, even gold had dropped through its flues. This was new. It was a gift from the Holy Bhag.

– from “In the Beginning, There was Gog,” a fantasy story featuring a corrupt civilization

Gog stopped. He was being watched. He could see a bronze helmet peeking from among rocks in the distance. He thought, "A scout from the Paralatai. If he recognizes my metal, he will guess there is something wrong. His leaders will attack me while I am weak."

– from “In the Beginning, There was Gog,” a fantasy story featuring a frank discussion of what the hell we're doing on this planet

Clark wondered what made Shephard so eager to get moving. He would have expected him to love wasting time at the hotel. He decided not to jinx it by asking him. On the way to Hotan, the bus driver put on a Turkic movie. Shephard watched. The plot was hard to follow. There was an old man. He was mourning. There were soldiers pushing people around. A young woman danced with what may have been her husband. The husband may have been the old man's son. It seemed the son was killed at some point by soldiers.

– from “Two Dudes and a Chinese Desert,” a friendship story featuring a kind of love

Junior's father died. In his will, he left Junior and his mother, Dorothea, joint ownership of the company. "We need to find you a wife," said his mother. She introduced him to the daughters of her country club friends. Her favorite was Jacqueline Davis Granville. She was in her twenties. She was pale-skinned. She had lovely legs.

Use of Love in Sorry Ms. Jackson

Chiseled letters from an ancient stone tablet hanging on a wall

A real play. With drama in it. Talk fast. It takes two hours. Set in a guest house. In a small community. After a murder. Lots of suspicion. The characters learn to listen to each other. It's funny.

GREY GOOSE: That's not what I mean.

MS. JACKSON: You devil!

GREY GOOSE: Ms. Jackson! Did you confide in the Aussie police - God preserve their infernal souls - your suspicions that I might be capable of murder?

MS. JACKSON: I will not answer you.

GREY GOOSE: Bitch!

MS. JACKSON: How dare you speak to me in such a filthy way?

GREY GOOSE: I will speak to you like that for as long as you deserve it.

MS. JACKSON: How have I merited this barbaric intrusion into my home and this battering of my senses? I am a scorned woman.

GREY GOOSE: Don't start playing the martyr.

MS. JACKSON: You seem to think I'm afraid of telling you the truth. I'm not.

– ACT I, lines 291-300

(ALICE and FLETCHER exit. LESBIAN and MS. JACKSON enter with their tea.)

MS. JACKSON: Tell me more about Egypt. You were saying something about locusts.

LESBIAN: When I arrived in November the country was under attack. Locusts were everywhere: in the north, in the south, in the east, in the west. Farmers who couldn't afford pesticides were burning tires to survive. It just so happened I arrived in Cairo at the exact moment that the swarm was passing through on its way to the Red Sea.

MS. JACKSON: Where did they come from?

LESBIAN: West Africa. They crossed the Sahara to get there. They were very hungry. They would fall onto your plate and get stuck in your glass. By the time I got to Aswan, the regional governor offered a two hundred Egyptian pound reward for any information leading to the destruction of a swarm.

MS. JACKSON: Did you find one?

LESBIAN: No.

MS. JACKSON: Does that sort of thing happen often? A swarm of locusts sounds so biblical.

LESBIAN: The very next year I took a trip to Hawai'i. They were suffering from a gall wasp invasion.

MS. JACKSON: What's a gall wasp?

– ACT I, lines 496-504

LESBIAN: A puritan.

ALICE: Straight-laced.

FLETCHER: A prude.

MS. JACKSON: That's exaggerating it a bit, wouldn't you say?

FLETCHER: Nevertheless, I didn't want old man Menzies thinking I was rooting his daughter-in-law. I certainly wasn't going to admit in open court that a pair of seven-year-old boys could shake me down.

ALICE: I was mugged once.

FLETCHER: What happened?

LESBIAN: Were you hurt?

ALICE: Not physically.

MS. JACKSON: You were threatened.

– ACT I, lines 137-146

(MS. JACKSON exits.)

KOKOMO: You should've washed.

FLETCHER: What difference would that have made? I wore my suit yesterday. Nobody cared - except for me. It was killing me. No, Mother: that prosecutor took one look at me and old man Menzies and that was it. We were out of there. Thank you kindly.

KOKOMO: Did it take long?

FLETCHER: Long enough to waste my time.

MS. JACKSON: (off) Why would he not want you?

FLETCHER: Who knows? Perhaps the prosecution thinks I'm immature.

KOKOMO: You're not?

FLETCHER: No.

MS. JACKSON: (off) It's because you're unpredictable, like an old man.

– ACT I, lines 8-16

Use of Love in Miscellaneous Dingbats

The title of the book at the end of a string of miscellaneous dingbats

A story book full of short fiction stories. An interesting bedtime mystery. A fairy tale. Science fiction romance. Adult life. Uninspiring gay fiction. Horror.

I was the smartest. I was the strongest. So I survived. That's life. That's what needed to happen. But what happened to my sister. When I came home. What she did? That was a pity. It was unnecessary. My sister didn't need to love a Curiazo. They were the enemy. She could've had a bit more sense than that. I don't blame her. Love is love. She did what she had to do. That's the truth of it. My sister wanted to die. That's why she attacked me.

– from “The Testament of Publio Orazio,” a horror story without much blood or gore coming straight out of Roman mythology

We were in Austria. It was Christmas Eve. Olympia was in her baby bouncer. She was by the fireplace. She was having a great time. We were caressing her. I remember. It was Grandmother's house.

– from “St. Andrew's Eve,” a story of love that may calm one's sense of anxiety depending on your outlook

"Heather Mills," said Orbitz. He kissed Sara Lee one last time. "You have to go," he said. He helped Sara Lee back into her skin suit. Before he put in her breathing apparatus he bowed his head and let her kiss him on the crown. It was a blessing. Orbitz watched the young woman sputter her way to the Nautilus. Of all the adventures they had ever had Orbitz loved these moments at Earth most of all. They had love and peace.

– from “The Death and Life of Captain Orbitz,” a science fiction romance written with Stanislaw Lem in mind, if you know who that is

Grendel never saw her mother again. She was taken to live with a quiet family next to a quiet house with a young boy in it. The young boy was fond of Grendel even though she was quiet and shy. The boy told Grendel he loved her and would take her away. "Like the Chinook," she said.

One day the Chinook came and Grendel disappeared. The boy was left quiet and sad.

– from “Little Grendel's First Hair,” a fairy tale story about something terrible that unfortunately exists in real life

The art show that defies abuse

Natural + Life

Large Wall Art Depicting the Human Landscape

Life is a spinning sphere with Joy at one pole and Sadness at the other. Each continuously feeding its pair. Joy flanked by the emotions of Trust on one side, Surprise on the other. Trust leading to Anticipation; anticipation leading to Fear. Surprise leading to Disgust; disgust leading to Anger. Anger and Fear fueling our Sadness. Sadness giving way, in time, to Joy; through Hope, an orientation towards Love. Love, an openness towards Joy, Trust and Surprise; the sum of emotion; emotion amplified by others. Multiplied and divided, in equal parts. Such that to those from whom it has been subtracted, we must add. Until we are whole.
